Blizzard - An illustrated story

Written and illustrated by me, Blizzard - alternatively titled “Snowstorm”, as directly translated from German - follows a young fawn with ice blue fur that has always made her stick out, always made her wonder. Just when she is starting to accept her lonely fate as an outcast, a mysterious creature with a tail so long you can’t see its end introduces himself to her as the keeper of keys, telling her of an old prophecy coming to pass - one with her at the centrum of everything. Bedazzled, Blizz follows the stranger through portals and into other worlds, on a quest to save something yet unknown to her. On this journey, she will loose herself before she can become who she was always meant to be… and eventually find a place to call home.

All illustrations for this book were created using graphite, colored pencil and watercolors. Digital touchups and layouting done in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
